**** The 2008 SOGA* Fun HG Competition ****

Free-Flying and Fun for the whole family. Open to all HG pilots**.
Visitors are welcome to watch and visiting pilots are welcome to join in.

When: August 2, 3, and 4, 2008 (Saturday, Sunday and Monday) but come on
out Friday and get an early start.

Where: Air Sailing Aerodrome (a sailplane club) near Belwood, Ontario
- located on the 6th Concession (#xxxx) just south of the 20th Sideroad in West Garafraxa Township
- GPS Coordinates: N 43 degrees 48.486' W 080 degrees 22.429'

Competition Tasks: open distance XC; declared goal: out and return; triangles; infinite triangles: duration; spot landings; depending on conditions.

Accommodation: very basic camping on site; plus there's a full fledged
campsite in the vicinity.

Entry Fee: $25.00

Food: Saturday night barbecue (steak dinner with all the trimmings). Included for all pilot contestants. Ten dollars for others.

** Pilot qualifications: - all levels; proof of HPAC insurance; aero-tow sign off; HAGAR (if you plan to fly higher than 2200 feet); foreign pilots must have temporary HPAC membership.

* SOGA: Southern Ontario Gliding Association.

Come fly Friday afternoon and then camp with us the rest of the weekend.

Sat, Sun and Mon - some sort of tasks...not sure on the format yet but it's kept simple and fun for all. Bring a GPS as we may try some GPS tasks or open distance flights.

Party at the Kinzie's (Conestoga Lake) on Saturday night.

Tows are standard rate - $25/tow.

Bring your family & friends - the more the merrier.
