The 2011 SOGA* Fun HG Competition

Free-Flying and Fun for the whole family. Open to all HG pilots**.
Visitors are welcome to watch and visiting pilots are welcome to join in.

When: July 30, July 31, and August 1, 2011 (Saturday, Sunday and Monday) but come on out Friday if you can and get an early start.
Where: Mac-Pat Ultralight Aerodrome in Metz (near Arthur), Ontario
- located on the 3rd Line (#7159) just southeast of the 25th Sideroad in West Garafraxa Township
- GPS Coordinates: N 43 degrees 48.555' W 080 degrees 26.185'
Competition Tasks: open distance XC; declared goal: out and return; triangles; infinite triangles; duration; spot landings; depending on conditions.
Accommodation: very basic camping on site; plus there's a full fledged campsite in the vicinity. Motels. Also, stay/camp with local pilots.
Entry Fee: $30.00
Food: Saturday night barbecue (steak dinner with all the trimmings). Included for all pilot contestants. Ten dollars for others. Children: five dollars.
Activities: Kite flying, horse shoes, paper airplane contest, bocce ball, trampoline, etc.
** Pilot qualifications: - all levels; proof of HPAC insurance; aero-tow sign off; HAGAR (if you plan to fly higher than 2200 feet); foreign pilots*** must have temporary HPAC membership.
* SOGA: Southern Ontario Gliding Association.
*** International pilots visiting Canada will need to pay $40.00 for temporary HPAC membership and insurance and will need to sign an HPAC waiver. Good for 2 months. For more info see ...
