"Groups" enabled

I've enabled some modules to help us work on different groups. These tools on this website are better than using YahooGroups (believe me). Sure it's easy to just send off an email on topics but it get's harder and harder to manage so many groups. Studies have shown this is happening in many corporate environments...and there are better alternatives to email.

See the "New groups" section on the right column of this page for the two groups available to all members (not the general public) and signup to be a member of that group if you like.

And then you can set your preferences for you and that group and invite others you want to join.

If you submit a forum topic now, you'll see that there is a section as to which group(s) you want that forum discussion to go into. And that is kept private from the public and non-members of that group. You can also subscribe to the groups so you can get emails whenever something is posted to that group (polls, etc).

I'm also going to create a new event type called 'Property' and add those properties that Terry posted in an email. This way we can comment on certain properties, vote on them, etc to help narrow down a search. This is the sort of thing that gets lost in email exchanges and is why these sorts of groups are necessary/more efficient.

I just hope members dig in and use this stuff...and as always, ask for help if you get stuck using it!

Thanks

Thanks for setting this up Mark.
Are there only 2 of the properties on the forum that Terry posted?
