25 acres with NO obstructions in surrounding properties
50 acres with some forest around
100+ acres with anything around it
Ideal Property:
- space for at least 1 north-west grass strip 1000 feet long; drained.
- rentable farm land
- NOT close to housing development.
- surrounding land NOT good for windmills.
- able to be sub-divided.
- able to be registered as aerodrome.
- bare land
- no buildings
- level
- small forest (for camping) would be nice
- creek would be nice (for camping)
Area of interest:
- we need to stay out of airspace...so anything within 26NM of YYZ (Pearson) is out of the question
- our current Belwood location is about 5km from this boundary
- so a bit North is ideal
- a bit West is OK but if we go too far West, it's too far from our Toronto pilots.
