The scooter is 100% done. A HUGE thanks to John Pop - here is a happy pic of us minutes after we finished it up tonight
The Scooter Crew
I hope everyone is as pro-SOGA as I am. I think possibly some members don't know how great of a crew we have. The hangar was one prime example but here is another one...
I was pleasantly surprised how supportive everyone was at the April meeting to help this instructional endeavour and fund the scooter. I was seconds away from pulling the trigger on buying that done winch...but instead, with the support of Ken and John, the gave me the faith to build one ourselves.
Ken drove me out to TO to inspect, purchase and bring home the scooter on a work afternoon. John then came over the next day to check it out and plan our trailer. Then John spent a Sunday AM with me at Princess Auto buying the material and three nights over the last two weeks welding it all up at his home.
The result...a more suitable/portable kit at HALF the price. And it only took three weeks from purchase to completion...the fastest winch ever built (at least in SOGA history!).
Once again, the power-of-SOGA prevails. Thanks SOOOOOOO much John and Ken - these guys are die-hards!

It looks great guys! Echoing
It looks great guys!
Echoing Mark's words... Hell Yes we have one hell of a crew, a club, and that is wholly
a result of the incredible individuals past, present and future that are it's makeup.
Hip Hip Hooray!
